From Bed, Bath and Beyond... a bedding set and draperies (without valances...). From Pier One throw pillows, they come in a number of colors....

Have some glass cut for the top of your side tables. Consider staining your headboard a richer/deeper color to match your color choices.

oh and meant to add that I plan to put a sheer on the door window in our room and have two more doors to paint, the one being one of them. :)

Your headboard looks very rustic, so I've attached some bedding and lamps that I think would go great with your colour scheme. I would only add the teal as an accent and not a paint colour. I have my livingoom done in antique rust and my kitchen in red pepper both from Behr paints

I think both sets you showed are very pretty. I see a couple of furry fiends in your picture. Do either one of them get up on the bed? (Mine do) If so, I would be concerned about the amount of white and if there is any embroidery threads that could get snagged.

I'm not sure either bed set goes with your headboard, which I love! If I had to pick one, I would pick the one on the right. I agree to put glass tops on your nightstands. I also like the honey paint color. That would make your headboard stand out. Lucky you to have (and have had) family who are crafty!

Good morning. Thank you all. I too love the paisley,would other decor would you go with if I went with that? Solids for the most past? I do not like allot on the walls. I actually saw pictures on this site where some had the pictures leaning against the wall on the nightstands and not hanging on the wall. I liked that idea since my headboard is tall. If I went with the paisley what kind of lamps. I saw some tall slender lamps at Kirklands that I loved but thought I should decide on my spread before getting decor. I also like the rich colors in Angela's picture? Great ideas, thank you all and need more. OH... mamo1956, I only have one small furry friend in the house but one is more than plenty to mess up white on any given day. :)

I vote for either the second floral quilt you picked or the paisley that Barnhart linked to. You can get paint and wood stain that coordinates with either one. After you get the quilt, we can figure out the lamps:) And I agree about the glass on the nightstands.

How about layering the bed. When I think rustic country I think of a big comfy bed filled with pillows and lots of different patterns. If you like this idea here is an easy way to do it.
1. Purchase duvet (the red paisley or something on that order) and fill with either a big puffy down comforter or a thin comforter (depending on your taste, big and puffy or more streamlined).
2. Either use white or off white sheets on bed for first layer. You can follow with a coverlet in the cream or white or a little deeper color.
3. Put the duvet on top and either fold the duvet at the end of the bed (if you used a thin filler) and a coverlet or fold the white sheet and/or coverlet over the top portion of the duvet.
4. Layer pillows two white or cream against headboard, two matching pillows or shams like the duvet next (many come with a matched set), and a third set of pillows maybe in a ticking stripe of taupe and red. Don't forget texture, the white shams can have a rough texture where the paisley may have a shiny texture. Mix and match. Last pillow a neck roll or smaller decorative pillow in the teal color. This is just a rough outline depending on what you find.
5. Don't forget the bed skirt. Depending on your bedding choices you can get a basic tailored brown or cream bed skirt or you could add another pattern. If you really like a lot of patterns or layers you can use two bed skirts by adding a second foundation. This would lift the bed higher which is also a country look.
As far as the rest of décor some suggestions;
Don't add a lot of the teal, the small pillow, a little in the bedding, your desk, and a little in the artwork you pick. I would definitely use the teal as the accent because your other colors are similar. The teal will pop against the other colors especially if you use it sparingly.
I like the black dresser and don't see why you shouldn't use it. Some of your bedding may have touches of black in the design. Don't add anymore large rustic furniture pieces. You have the rustic headboard, the nightstands, and the desk. If you add too much of the same it will take away from your design. Spread your colors throughout the room with artwork, maybe a runner on the black dresser. Put a large trunk or bench with storage for the pillows and extra blankets. Be careful on the lamps you don't want them too high. Tall skinny buffet lamps don't work well for nightstands. I wouldn't go rustic on the lamps maybe lamps with some color from the bedding. I think your room would be gorgeous with some type of chandelier. Something really sparkly and rustic at the same time. That would be the icing on the cake.
I'll post some pictures with general ideas of what I am talking about. When you go to photos on Houzz type in mix match country bedrooms and rooms with orange, brown, red and teal. You will see all kinds of ideas for the finishing touches.

One last idea. Buy a really big colorful rug and simplify the bed.

WOW.... thank you linlac.... I greatly appreciate your time in providing me this information. I was headed out to first look, one again, at the local stores for that comforter i fall in love with before ordering on line, this will help a ton, glad I checked the site first. :) I plan to post updated pictures when I can pull it all together. You could use the black dresser as is, or distress it or glaze it... I meant to comment on your bedding, I think the one on the right would be lovely in your room :-)

I love the look above Stamps. I have been wanting to challenge myself on doing a project such as this but I have got to build the confidence. :) People say and make it look so easy.... It would sure save me allot of money. I too love the one on the right and was hoping ti would not be too light for my headboard. I saw it a couple of months ago and keep going back to that one... I could bring out my colors through limited decor and could probably still pull off the look linlac suggested as I too like her idea. I am gonna ponder it a few days. Linlac, with your wonderful ideas, I too wish you could have gone shopping with me. You could have found tons I am sure. Goes back to me being able to visualize things BUT I am coming along. :) Thank you for the compliment. I too have enjoyed the headboard so far and feel I will enjoy even more when I pull it all together. I may go with the set I have above on the right, do you think it would work with the layering as you indicated? what about the pillows, would I need to go with the pattern on those as well? Maybe a couple of stripe pills and a few solid? I am liking that set the more I look at it. I could even brighten things up with maybe a brighter bed skirt?

I tend to get too many ideas--benefit/drawback of being an artist, lol--so I bookmark everything that I'm thinking about getting if I'm having trouble making a final decision, then I give it a day or two, pull up the bookmarks side by side and pick. Alternatively, I pick the top 5 that I like the best, then have my husband pick from those choices. Don't know if any of this helps with your decision-making for the quilts, but I hope so:)

Dismukes the dresser on the right, appears to be silver over black. The best part of the "technique" is that you do not have to be good at painting! you dry brush silver glaze over the black, adding more where you want and wiping off the silver in places you want the black to peek through. The less precise (or messier the strokes) the better.... and it is paint so if you do not like it you can repaint it ;-) Last time I was there, both Home Depot and Lowes carried glaze products and how-to pamphlets...

Yes that is a beautiful quilt and would work with the layering. It would take you to a new color scheme. I see a eggplant color ( the bed skirt) , love that color. That would make the layering an easy task. Find solids in the floral colors (do not need to be exact). You could get colored sheets and fold back over quilt. You could get a coverlet for the bottom of the bed in one of the colors. You can add as many as few layers as you want but I would definitely get some pops of color onto the bed. Don't forget the texture. You may be able to find some lamps with a shade in one of the floral colors. I would love to see you paint an accent wall behind your bed that would make your headboard stand out. Not a color from the quilt but a deeper warm neutral color that would go with any color. By the way I am doing a bedroom makeover and when I went to pottery barn website I found a cabinet that goes over top of the TV. They had a black mirrored version and another that had a very rustic wood design. Made me think of your room because both would work over top of the black dresser and the TV would be hidden. I'm thinking your uncle may be able to make you one. Check it out and keep posting.

dismukes, whatever you do don't settle. If you are undecided and don't absolutely love the quilt wait. Another way to tackle this is to shop for one item with colors that you absolutely love. Try to find something that has all of the colors you want for the room. You can find the perfect set of bed shams, a piece of art, a large area rug, lamps with floral shades, or the quilt. Once you find that item go to your local home improvement store and pick up paint swatches with all the colors. Carry your paint swatches with you when you shop and this will help with choices. For instance if you got some really colorful lamps you may want to mix and match solid bedding. If you find some really colorful shams you can do something as simple as all white bedding and those shams will pop. Keep looking at houzz pictures and find a room you love. You can be a copycat with the way they use patterns and colors.

In a rush when I posted, so I wanted to take a few moments this morning to show you why that Rosalie popped into my mind for your room. It's your yellow distressed table and the teal desk you spoke of. And I like it with the art of Jacques Clement -- seen here leaning on a teal distressed bureau -- (why not make full use of the sides of the bed with a pair of something a little bigger?)

Off in a rush again, as my ??? teen son ??? just got up from his video game ??? and announced he'd like a trash bag to do some cleaning ??? in his room!!! Gotta go crank some tunes and support that!

...love how your wall color blends so well with your carpet.....Love the headboard!!..I see fluffy white bedding and a pair of great matching lamps that balance the bed.....I have solid soft aqua bedding and a furry friend....bought a small washable bath rug in solid matching color......this is her spot at end of bed , and easily washable..can't wait to see what you do.....

I just realized that you're the same poster with the delightful orange master bath, so here's another take with more of an orangey transition color -- it's a Peacock Alley duvet by Catalina Collection and art by Georgia O'Keeffe. This was again, a quick idea -- so many possibilities since you have a nice neutral backdrop. Just wanted to incorporate the orange if it's an adjacent room.

Pottery barn has some awesome wall sconces that would go perfect with your headboard. If you used these you could keep the tables clear for art. They have more options.

Hey houzz friends. :) I have not been on in a while but it's because I have been busy busy with putting together all the suggestions little by little and as money has allowed. :) Building in itself can be overwhelming and then trying to decor each room tops the cake but again, I have been doing little by little. I just wanted to check in to let you know I will be posting after pictures when I am done with all. :) Thank you so much for all the compliments. I will check in again soon and pictures are forth coming. May be another couple of weeks but I PROMISE once all is done, I will post the after results. :)
