I have an oak kitchen and like the white appliances with mid tone wood - it keeps the room light. The color in my kitchen and other main rooms is Valspar Churchill Hotel Ecru. It is hard to get a true color on a computer monitor, but you can see my kitchen in my "my pics" idea book.

If you have a small backsplash with your counter, you don't really need another. There is a lot of movement going on in your kitchen. Oak cabinets have movement due to the grain in the cabinets. Your countertop and floor have movement. If cabinets, counters and backsplash (and floor) all have movement, the overall look can be too busy, even if each surface is individually very pretty. I think your backsplash is possibly too busy even though it is pretty. I would either leave it painted wall or do something very simple.

There is no way that floor and that counter work together , you say you want to paint but what you want to is stain your cabinets I would do a much lighter simpler counter and backsplash is one of the last things you decide in a kitchen IMO espresso colored wood is already a dated look so I would not be concerned with matching it at all and I would paint those cabinets in such a small kitchen and BTW I would remove the oak corner cabinet from the DR it does not work with the table at all

The countertops and floor look to be a done deal - already installed in the picture. I believe there is a typo in the second paragraph - I think the OP meant I am NOT willing to paint - based on the rest of the paragraph.
