I am questioning how the hardware on this door works? How does the door latch/stay closed. I see a tiny turn-knob against the pull-handle but there must be something more to this for it to close securely and stay shut.

I have installed a similar door unit and it uses large roller catches to keep it closed when unlocked. I know what most people think, the cheap roller catches you may find on closet doors, but these are really hefty and work well. It takes a good push to get it open, but nothing to strenuous.

Can you tell me where you purchased the roller latches?

The door manufacturer usually provides them installed in the door. Either Western or Fleetwood doors and Windows.

I would recommend a set of high-end magnetic roller catches for this types of designer doors. In our online store we have a wide selection of contemporary door hardware that's both durable and also quite stylish. Plus they are as simple to install as any other door hardware, in a couple of minutes they can be added into a door for instant used. All of this and also durability is why you should order one our kind of roller catches https://www.dayorishardware.com.

    Sincerely,
