HELP! I can't decide if the drapes should blend with the wall (tan) or the couch (green) I seem to be frozen on this simple item

ok I hadn't thought of a patterned drape to tie in the colors. That will give me a stating point. It will be easier than painting. Thank you!

You will need to pull the sectional away from the wall to hang floor to ceiling drapes. I like the pattern idea. I would add a cream or white sheer in the middle to disguise the different sizes of the window.
We have a sectional like this, up against the drapes, and it seemed very unfinished, so I pulled it further away and added some glass sofa tables, and accessorize do with table lamps and plants by the window. It gave the curtains 'breathing space' and looked very intentional.
Maybe merchandise the two chairs more with a rug, ceramic garden stools as a side table, large ficus plant, etc?

Im looking at drapes but i should mention that the windows in the room are a north facing bay window 2 side windows and a sliding door to a deck. it is not a window. Ill see if i can post a better picture

Have you ever considered woven wood blinds...

White curtains, or white with a pattern such as these from ikea. I would chose the green couch color as my second choice, and the wall color as my last choice.

kjoy1 no I don't have a rug yet. 2014Diane the sectional is new, it is a dark green. The entertainment center and the tables are as well, they are cherry. I haven't looked at woven blinds not my husbands favorite.

I would use a grey or white color in curtains. When it comes to walls & window treatment for a professionally decorated look you have to coordinate your curtains with your wall color. Also adding an area rug in white with some accent pillows.

Sorry, I meant I would choose to buy curtains in the color of the couch as my second choice. My first choice would be white or patterned curtains. I do not like curtains that are the same color as the walls, but of course they should coordinate.

Here we go these are the newest pictures of the room. I did not realise I had not updated them. The tables came in just before Christmas.

I am a little leery of getting curtains that are green only because the front room is done in green. I like the sectional color, however, I did think it was much darker when I picked that fabric in the showroom. I was thinking of repainting the room but that would be a last resort
