Whip and Tongue graft I like when stock and scion is the same size.

I like this whip and tongue video...also the music.

Since I don't do much I'll never get this good.

I like the whip and tongue the best I practiced on willows prior to doing it and now I find it the easiest one to do. I have done side grafting with some success when trying to add a branch to a limb that I think could use one, but I make sure the resulting angle will be a good one. The following picture is of Discovery, it made a really good connection and did produce 2 apples last fall. That said I do have some fairly ugly side grafts . I do cleft when the rootstock is larger.
