My wife and I are in the process of buying our first home (closing March 3!) We like the updates done by the previous owner. Our appraisal came back and aged the house at about 13 years old, a house built in 1990 mins you :)

We want to add our own touch to the kitchen and master bath, specifically the arena of flooring. We like traditional design elements and neutral colors. We really like darker wood flooring but are concerned it won't look good in this house. This isn't our forever home, so we're willing to put off updating it as such. We're just seeking some advice from the community! Thanks!

PS: Attached pictures are the realtors photos. We plan on changing the paint colors.
