I've got two florist's cyclamen that came from the grocery store. One goes dormant every summer but the other, which I just got a year and a half ago, continued to bloom sporadically all last summer and never seemed to go fully dormant. That behavior didn't seem to hurt it in terms of this winter's floral display, although I'm not sure it would be a good idea to do that regularly. For any of my cyclamen in the greenhouse, I don't water much when dormant, just throw some 'rescue water' their way every few weeks to keep the tubers from drying out, and these get the same treatment. I also have a couple of C. persicum, not hybridized for the florist trade, and I prefer the wilder form of the species, although I'm more and more impressed with that red flowered grocery store one that's been in bloom for almost 18 months straight.
