Backsplash Tile ???

I like the darker gray tile (with white grout) on the board to go with LG minuet countertops. Will it end up looking too messy since the edges of the tile are not straight? What do you think of the color? Would I be better off trying to find a tile with a straight edge like in the 3rd picture?

This is my actual kitchen. You can see the tiles are slightly wavy and add some texture. The tiles are a creamy white with a light grey grout to add some definition. Hope this helps.

I like your idea of grey tile with white grout. Either grey ones will be pretty ...I prefer straight edge.

I really like the grey tile in the last picture for color. I do like the more hand crafted look of the first tile. Either will be lovely.

The irregular edges are definitely a certain look--more craftsman/vintage. It doesn't seem to go with your traditional look you have so far. I'm sure you can find a straight tile in the gray you want.

Thanks for responding. A designer suggested the 1st tile saying it would add interest. But something is telling me it's not quite right in my kitchen.

I have something similar in my home - a bit of interest in an otherwise classic kitchen and I love it. The longer tile may end up giving you this type of effect:

Hand made tiles always offer a unique look. I like the first photo and think an off white grout color (with a hint of gray) will tie everything beautifully.
Grab some loose samples of tile and a grout color chart and take home in your natural lighting to select your grout color for best results.
