We are removing a wall to make an unusable dining/living room part of a great room. Wall will come down between family room and dining/living room and kitchen is off the center of this 'great room'. The new great room will be 51 x 17. It will then be three sitting areas including a long rustic table in the space just outside of the kitchen in the center edge of the big room. We are concerned this 51 x 17 space may be way to large but cannot add a new wall or we would ruin the expansive view to the backyard... any suggestions would be appreciated.
