Hi folks,

I've developed a (totally and eternally free and totally ad-free) veggie planting calculator to address the most-often asked question of "how much of this vegetable should I plant?" Online suggestion guides are notoriously off or very general. The Bountiful Harvest calculator lets you put in the number of people you want to feed and how often you want to feed them (a couple times a week, 3-4 days, daily, or daily plus preserving) to come up with the number of plants you should be setting out to meet those goals.

I would love feedback from folks here on what veggies and herbs I should be adding next to the calculator and how the existing calculations match up with your experience.

A ton of great advice from folks on the gardenweb forums, along with extensive research and our own trial-and-error gardening helped create the app. We used the calculations from the app last year in our quest to grow $1500 worth of veggies in only 70 square feet --we ALMOST met the goal.
