How can I fix them?Should I water more often than once a week?

Also when potting the first one should I leave the baby above the soil or bury it gently?

About the roots - I got them four months ago and I think they were pups as they they barely had roots but the first one has a lot more roots now and even a pup but the second has grown few.

First of all, how is your soil? Good soil will automatically complement root growth and health, which it looks like your roots are a bit lacking in. I know how hard it is to get a good soil going, but you just have to keep trying. Don't be afraid to experiment.

I would only give it a small amount of water when you put it back in a pot. Then give it some time to replenish fine roots.

As for burying it, how was it before? From the picture, it seems that the pup was below the soil's surface. If so, just leave it that way. It will eventually break the surface.

I mixed soil I bought with some little stones but I didnt have enough then so for the first one I thing I managed to mix it 1:1 but the second only had like one thirt rocks so it really was soil problem. Now I have a lot more rocks and will put more.

The pup was under the soil.I'm surprised it didn't break when I pulled out the mother.

I would go at least 2/3rds grit.

The winkles on the stems imply dry, not rot. Aloe roots that are healthy are fat and yellow.

Ok then I'll add more grit. I wasn't certain I could because other people's mixes contain things like pumice,perlite and other things that I don't have,can't buy and can't be even translated in Bulgarian.

Do what works for you!! You don't have to have a ton of fancy products for a good soil mix, so experiment, and find what makes your plants happy.

About 40% soil and 60% small rocks
