I'm not crazy about the floor color with white cabinets.

If you are set on white cabinets how about changing the floor?

are these the finished cabinets? you said, 'decided on new white cabs'. new or painting these or are these the new white ones? confused by your post.

is the brown cabinet staying? what do you want?

the wall color needs to change. even in the other room. try and tone it down w/the tan or gray shade in the tile. I can't tell what it is because the photo is too far away.

I think you will be fine with white. A sage green would be pretty too - and a little different.

Beth this is the kitchen now before I get the new cabinets and counter. Also we are repainting the walls

wife is pretty set on white but not 100% the floor has some beige and almost light pinkish tint to it. Hope that helps. We are having a hard time finding a cabinet and counter to match up nice. Here is a close up of floor ignore my pups paw. Lol

if you get new, then I might go w/a lighter wood tone. birch or maple. white is too bright, cream won't go w/the taupe tones of the floor, gray will be too much gray,,,, I think a medium wood tone would play the best. then you could do either a granite or a quartz in a neutral tone.

now, if you plan on keeping those, then think about adding some edging to give the door a shaker look. you flat front style is modern, everything else is not.

if this is too much to do and you like your current set up, then have a carpenter or cabinet maker come in and give you a quote on re-facing all of the cabinets. Then we would just have to find a color that can go w/your flooring.

take a look at some of these and see what you think. you can grab some samples and bring them home to try in your lighting.

Yes Cherry would work with the floor better than white.

Are you saying you both would like cherry cabs? Send us pics of cabs you will consider - then we can advise you as to what goes best with the existing tile floor.

you mean cherry wood or a cherry stain? they're diff. cherry is a nice wood, just don't have them do too much of a red stain. i did a desk top w/natural cherry wood and put a walnut stain on it. looks like this: maybe something a tad lighter for you and not red, as in a red stain. wait until you decide on cabs before choosing countertop.

Went to the store today and This seemed to look ok against the floor actually pretty well. Your thoughts ?

Lots of white kitchens have dark floors. To determine if you like or do not like white, just look at the contrast now and think about it. Monitors do not give true colors, so I am uncertain - the pic with the dog shows a lighter floor than the first one.

These floors are not the same - but dark tile.

kona is very dark and somewhat dated. if you get a lot of light in your kitchen, it may work. but those cabs will show every print, dust, grease, etc.

bring home a cream or lighter wood sample. I think the floors will be fine with the lighter tones. maybe in a year or two you could then replace the flooring.
