To get rid of these brown stains, we would recommend to use a blue Scotchbrite sponge with a cream bathroom cleanser, such as Soft Scrub. Hope this will solve your problem. Please keep us updated!

Nothing solves the problem. The drain is discolored and remains a hideous brown stained color. This picture is after cleaning with Barkeepers Friend. It is so hideous that I bought a strainer with lips on it that covers the entire drain. Seems like the only option is replacement, which is a complete PIA.

Sadly, most of the drains on the market are plated. My might want to hunt down a solid stainless steel drain and replace the one you have. We run into that with our copper sinks. We source solid copper drains because the plated ones seem to have a lifespan no longer than a couple of years.

I have a 2019 julien sink and the drain has looked horrible since a few months into use. I’m constantly deep cleaning it. I assumed it would be stainless steel - but maybe it’s not. The rest of the sink is fine. But the drain looks just like the other users picture. It’s terrible and I’ve also bought a cover to hide it. Pretty shocking with the price point of this sink.

There are solid stainless drains on the market that will not be an issue. We now carry them.
