The exact material may not be made anymore. So much has changed in the fiber business.

Is it fair to assume that you are thinking of buying fabric and sewing a garment like that?

There are many fabrics in the store that would be suitable for that.

Fabrics are no longer given names such as "chiffon", "crepe", "poplin", "worsted", etc. Sure, you may still find some fabrics that are called by these old fashioned names, but the newer fabrics do not receive names such as these anymore.

You would look in the selection for fabrics that fall into the category of active wear, or dance wear. That looks like it is ribbed.

One warning, that stuff is not that easy to sew with. You don't say what your level of sewing experience is or what equipment you have. I have sewn for decades, but I don't want to tackle that stuff. I will leave that to the factories with the industrial machines that do all of that high tech stitching and use all of those synthetic threads and elastics.

I've sewed some swimsuits before so feel fairly proficient with this kind of stretchy material, however if I could buy it wouldn't have an issue with that. Just hard to find that era fashions.
