I think you have enough furniture in there.....a chair in that corner looks nice. A desk there would look a bit out of place in my opinion.

Are you thinking of putting the desk where the chair is left of the fireplace? Where will you put the chair? It's hard to tell if it will work or not since we only see one section of the living room. Please post some more photos so we can see the entire room. Thanks!

Try moving the chair to the other side of the fireplace and put the chest on the small wall to the left.

This might make your room feel not so crowded. No, don't add more furniture.

Leelee, I would love to move the chest but it hides some unsightly wires from the TV that can't be switched to the other side. The drapes are as high as they can go because of the way the ceiling is designed. I see how your suggestions would really help though. Thank you.

This design of ours, pictured, might help. Notice how one side of the fireplace has a table, but the other doesn't? Also notice the chair with lamp on the opposite side, along with the plant.
