I think it seasonal, my in ground jade looks like that too.

Jades color up in full sun. Your plant looks pretty good. It may, possibly, get even darker leaves. I do not think it would burn since you have it in same spot (?) for a long time - should be acclimatized to the sun well.

I wonder why is the soil sill wet after a month or longer? - did you have rains? Is there a drainage hole in container? (I assume there is, since I see pot feet to raise it up.) What kind of soil is it potted in?

We have had some rains. Although it's in a covered area it will occasionally get misted from sideways rain that gets under the patio roof. When I say there is soil moisture...it's definitely on the drier side of moist. Some might call it kinda dry. I'm just afraid to over-water it so I really want to let it get dry and if there's any moisture at all I don't water it. It's in regular potting soil - if I knew then what I know now, I'd have potted it in a more succulent-friendly soil. When it's time to repot in a couple of years I'll put it in a better draining soil. For now I am going to try to get it out of the full sun and see if it gets better. Thanks everyone!

Why do you think it is not OK? It just has a suntan - not a sunburn. But if you want it to be green, then less sunlight will do it. What you like is what counts :) I find that most ppl in cooler climates can't wait for their succulents to color up when they get direct sunlight.

If you are not sue about watering, use a bamboo skewer/chopstick test (even pencil will do): insert deep into pot; leave in for few minutes. When you pull it out and t feels cold-damp or has small particles sticking to it, there is still enough moisture and do not water. If it come out dry and clean, time to water.

To answer your question, it was just a big change in color that I didn't remember from last year so I wanted to double check with the brain trust here that it was ok! So glad I did.
