We are looking at an Acrylite roofing system, translucent. reflects UV rays and heat. The window frames are aluminum but the 'glass' is soft memory vinyl. We spoke to some people who have the systems but not to anyone who has had the system for more than 3 years. So we are wondering how the system holds up after 7-10 years.

Vinyl is a very long lasting material and you should not have any problems in the long run. Do I understand you correct that the "glass" is a vinyl panel? Don't do that - choose glass with a high low e value and sun protection (SHG value). If you have a concern with privacy, install some

Agreed. Thank you, for your comments. Will take them into consideration.
