How do you nail the boards? I read somewhere you cant use screws or nails on IPE

    Hi!

    The method that Evergreen used is the most common because a lot of people want to avoid having screws show up on a beautiful Ipe deck. You can use screws, however you must pre-drill before inserting the screw. Unlike other woods, Ipe is very dense so the screw will strip or break as it enters Ipe. For this same reason, nails are not recommended.
