This mantel was custom cut at a lumber yard. The rounded edge of the tree were left intact and sanded down so the edges aren't rough. Typically the mantel is squared off - in this case the actual shape of the tree is left intact. The back is flat for installation into the stone. The material is walnut. Best bet is a lumber yard that has cut trees rather than just planks.
