I have had granite counter tops for about a year in my kitchen. There is something odd going on - no matter how carefully I wipe them down and dry them, when I run my hand over the granite, I can feel sugar-like granules that come up on my hand. This granite also has tiny pits in it. It was sealed by the company that installed it. These counter tops never seem to feel smooth. I never have the granules issue with the granite on my bathroom vanity, which is a different style. Is there any explanation for my grainy kitchen counters? Thanks....
