Wowee! They look really good and big! Congrats!

Thanks. The Fungii is large because my Pachy broke prior to shipping so she upgraded the Fungii:-)

Fungii is a fast grower! You'll love it!

I soaked macrophylla in my FoliagePro/sugar mix for you, as well. Root system was small on that one. It's not Snow Queen, different cultivar (just splash). I'd pop it in a humidity dome, just in case. It looked very healthy when it arrived to me, just droopy. I don't think it likes travelling lol, because mine did the same thing. After 2 weeks being left alone (do not fuss over it, just water it and place in humidity dome or whatever you use, and leave it alone in a warm area, airing out and misting LIGHTLY every 2 days), mine bounced right back.

Whatcha think about that fungii? Beast, eh? And what happened to pachy? Thought it had 4 leaves? Did one break during shipping? If so...I am SOO sorry!

Fungii is one of my favorites. Mine hasn't bloomed in about 5 years, which is a shame because I really like the flowers on it (and that mild, sweet fragrance it has). I just repotted her today and there were roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. Hopefully, she'll flower for me again this year and that you will get blooms on yours soon, too, Monica!

MILD fragrance?!! Mine is overpowering (but she has 6 fully open umbels)!

The Fungii is beautiful. I have several extra large Fungii/Obovata crosses that I love. The Pachy lost one leaf but that's okay. The Potsii's long stem got bent in shipping and the top leaf is getting a little dehydrated. I clipped it at the bend so do you think it can heal itself?

It should heal just fine BUT if it keeps looking sad, cut it and pot up the top leaf. Makes for a fuller plant!

    Thanks aurorawa.

I'm ready for my next order. Hah!!

Ooh, a cross between fungii and obovata? That must be pretty!

Lol aurora, when mine bloomed, there was only one umbel on mine, and it was outdoors for the summer, where it would not be as strong. Still a very nice scent nonetheless!

Wow that hoya fungii is huge. How much did you pay for it. Just wondering.

I was just coming in to ask to see the fungii/obovata cross and there it is! :D

Also, is it pronounced Fun Gee eye or Fun guy eye? Or neither?

Was this apart of a group order? If so, how can I get notified when the next one is being planned? In want in! :]

Triffidmoss - I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing it correctly but I say Fun Gee Eye.

Lisa - I'm sorry but I don't know how to answer your question. I ordered a nice size Pachy New Moon but it broke before shipping. As an apology AH Hoya sent me the xl Fungii.

Kinco445 - it certainly gets addictive! I'm very impressed with the plants I received.

I just say fun gee even tho it might be wrong :-P

With the G in the gee part like "guh" not "jee" if that makes sense?

It makes you want to pronounce it like fungi, no?

I say it like the letter G

I like that fungii x obovata! Kinda reminds me of motoskei (which I still am hunting for to make my small plant larger).

    Brad AKA Moonwolf

Brad - if you're interested Gardino's has stock of Motoskei.

Is it actually in stock? I really should order from them again. I still have my shepherdii from them that I got about 6 or so years ago (hasn't bloomed, but I think I see peduncles that have tried to bloom). It's quite a thirsty plant for me.

They have some others that I like, too. I do have a birthday coming up :D.

    Brad AKA Moonwolf

I think you need to treat yourself with a nice birthday order, Brad :-)

I will have to see if I can order a plant or two. Winter has returned at the moment, but I remember ordering my shepherdii in February and it came with a heat pack. Hmm.....what to do? ;)

Aurorawa - do you have weekly/ bi-weekly orders? You're one busy Hoya addict. lol

What web page is this order coming from? As soon as I know I'll email you my list!!

AHHoya. Monica, this is my last group order for a bit.

aurorawa What's the difference between the 'Snow Queen' and Macrophylla Splash?

Snow Queen is a trade name of a certain plant (either a seedling or select sport/cutting, of that, I am unsure which). AH did not receive hers as 'Snow Queen', so it is just called splash.

In all honesty, it may be 'Snow Queen', but since it came to her as splash, it would be wrong to call it 'Snow Queen', if it did not come from the specific trade plant, if that makes since.

I love the Splash. It looks just like the Snow Queen I had. I love the look of the leaves regardless of the name.

aurorawa - oh, the temptations will be so hard to resist. :-)

Aurorawa, working on that list and will have it to you by tomorrow! I'm so excited!! They have such a wide selection. One question, how do your know if it's a rooted plant or cutting? Just kind of a "get what you get" type of deal?

They are all rooted unless you specify cuttings!
