Kitchen Island Lighting question - 2 or 3 pendants?

Hello! I have a kitchen remodel going and need some advice regarding light fixtures over my island. The island is 100" long, the ceiling height is 8'. The island houses my sink but it is not centered. I was thinking due to this, I needed to stick with 2 pendants. I am planning on using the Kenroy Capri style - more than likely the smaller version (6" x 10") because of the ceiling height, BUT there is a larger pendant. Ideas? Thanks so much!!
