Can the black box (is that a subwoofer?) go on the other side, kind of hidden behind the chair? Then I would center the shelving unit under the window and move the blue lamp to the other side of the table top (closer to wall). The current arrangement is too "heavy" on the fireplace wall of the nook. I also don't think you need anything hanging on the wall under the window. I do like that the nook areas aren't identical and perfectly symmetrical, but the right side looks busier to me than the left, which creates that feeling of imbalance.

Could we see the rest of the room?

Can the black box go on other side beind the chair?.....ours is wireless so we can put it wherever we want to. Then you could center the chest. If it must stay there, put a tall plant on the box (I am assuming it is a "woofer")...almost as tall as the window sill and then center art over white chest...remove small plant too.

you can swap the cabinet and chair. or you can buy a console table that can go over the top of the sub woofer. your cabinet smunched in the corner is doing you in.

If you can't find a wireless solution, then just switch the nooks around, so the chair is on the other side (hiding the subwoofer).

I feel your pain -- I hate the looks of our subwoofer and wish it would just go away, but it is the most important thing to my husband in the entire room, lol. So the challenge becomes finding a way to hide it or make it less noticeable. ;-)

Could you get another of those white chests for the other side and then bring the chair more into the room? I think too I might take everything off the windowsills.
