Yes, definitely symmetrical, TALLER and wider windows. Arched windows would look amazing, as well as a new roof. Remove the shutters. They take up space and make the home look smaller than it is.

Extend the roofline forward and out to create a slightly raised porch. Pull the front door forward to take away from the "cave-like" dark entry, and make the new front door more of a statement piece, as shown in the first photo below.

Also, apply a fresh coat of paint to the stucco and accent the new porch with white (as seen in the second photo below). The current light tan color (hard to tell from the photo) looks great. Just needs some love.
