Será que dá certo? Vou pintar minha casa que é de fazenda(embora seja uma chácara dentro da cidade). Quero pintar o barrado que é de grafiato de azul marinho e para a parte da parede(que é alta) de calopsita(suvinil). Será que dá ceeeeeerto? É a fachada exterior. Grata!!!!!

I did a scan and the closest SW match is Indigo Batik 7602. It is a bit darker too which probably would be right in the direction you wish it to go. Trying to post a comparison photo. bbl

I just checked the LRV of each of these colors and they are nearly identical in fact when compared on Lori's LRV Guru app the show "no difference".

We just tried some navy blues and wanted Sherwin Williams. SW Naval was good, but I tried BM Hale Navy and love it. Using all SW except that room.

Which SW blue did you end up using? Any pics?

I actually ended up going a different direction. I did the cabinets all the same color and painted the ceiling SW Mount Etna. I love the result and am still pleased I did it this way.

Are you happy with the Mount Etna? I'm thinking of using it on cabinets, I don't know why but I'm really drawn to it! But nervous as I never choose bold colors :)

I love, love it. I used it in multiple spaces and haven’t regretted it at all. Sometimes it looks bluish, sometimes more gray. I’ll try to add a few pictures of it in other rooms. (Master bedroom and library/office attached... not the best photos, ha, but maybe that will help)

jhope, what color white did you use in your kitchen? goin through some of this myself and our counters look similar in color family. Pure White was feeling pretty bright white to me, but I also don't want cream. Your cabinets look white to me, but it doesn't feel too overwhelming! Love Mount Etna and Gale Force and many of those deep blue / teal colors. So much pretty to decide from!

Actually, the cabinets are SW Mindful Gray. The color looks a lot lighter than it looks on the paint strip! I wanted something with color that didn’t stand out too much though; plus my room gets a lot of light. I’ll try to find a closer cabinet picture that shows it better...

Beth, coming from the tile guru, what a compliment! Yes, you’re welcome to use the photos. I’ve got extra backsplash in the attic, I’ll check the box. And, the counters are actually marble. It was Shadow Storm marble. We did look at Fantasy Brown. I love the marble in there. I know kitchens and marble have their nay-sayers, but it’s worked well for us. I’ll take a better picture of it too. Once I found the Shadow Storm, I planned the tile and paint colors around it. I thought it was beautiful.

The second and third photos have a blue with enough gray in it to make the color less sharp. I think those blues are right for cabinets.

love that marble. an I like the tiles too. so they're more of a light gray. the size of them is perfect. I'm going to show them to a poster who wanted to do the 45 degree layout like you did.

@jhope how has your marble countertops held up to etching/staining? I’ve noticed people on Houzz who sealed properly don’t seem to have problems with their marble countertops.

@fsal I have sealed mine every 6 months, just being cautious. And I am somewhat protective of it. But I have 4 kids and have had more spills than I can count. I haven’t had any issue at this point. We also have the marble in our bathroom and the girls’ bathroom. We’ve not had issues there either and they’re not cautious at all as far as wiping standing water or making sure water doesn’t settle under a hand soap pump. I’ve not noticed any problems there either. I wonder if it’s more the marble that’s almost all white that has issues?

@jhope, I know it is years later, but I find myself choosing SW Naval for my kitchen cabinets and island for a project that starts next week. I love the stately look of this blue. Do you mind sharing if you used it and how it turned out? I'm sure it was nothing like the loud blue in the last picture you posted. I also like SW Anchors Aweigh. It and Naval are similar. Hopefully, you'll get this post and can respond before my project begins. But if anyone else happens to see this and you've used SW Naval for your kitchen, please share picks and let me know how you like it. Oh, I'm also using it on two accent walls in my family room which has floor to ceiling windows and loooooots of light. Thanks in advance. Oh, and happy Holiday Season!

I just closed on my home a few months ago and did one part of my kitchen in SW Naval. I love it!

@HU-663007554, I ended up doing grey on all the cabinets and I did SW Mount Etna on the ceiling. The photos of my kitchen are up in this thread. I used the amount Etna on several ceilings and walls though out the house. We still love if!

@jhope Thank you so much for responding and doing so promptly at that! I love what you did to your kitchen. It is different. I'm so tired of seeing the same same. Using such a bold color as Naval is taking me out of my comfort zone. But for some reason, I am so drawn to it. It's the color of water and the sky. It's so grounding. Last night, I realized that I have been feeling drawn to blue for some time now, but just didn't really pay attention to that nudging until last night when I realized I'd been feeling drawn to it for a while. I looked at a recent profile pic that I added to a social media platform and I'm wearing a satin blue top and had changed the background of my profile pic to a picture of the water at one of my favorite places to go when I need to be out in nature. My project starts Dec. 7th, and I'm excited about it and nervous all at the same time. Again, thanks for responding and happy Holidays to you and yours!

@HU-663007554 I ended up with Anchors Aweigh on my island. I think a lot depends on the lighting in the room. Loved Naval, but it was "off" in my space.

@A M I love Anchors Aweigh also! I'm sure I'd be satisfied with either because they are similar. But, I'm going to get some "peel offs" of the Anchors Aweigh tomorrow and place next to the Naval paint "peel offs" (not the actual name) to help me make up my mind before the project begins next week. Anyone who used SW Naval on their kitchen cabinets....did you go with satin or semi-gloss?

@ cwcf185 I love the blue with the natural in your kitchen! My project is just about finished! The cabinets painted Sherwin Williams' Naval turned out beautifully! The white kitchen sink (deep double sink) and gold faucet were just installed yesterday, and my new stainless-steel appliances arrive the middle of April. Earlier, I had recess lights installed in the kitchen and a pendant light over the island. I only now need to decide if I will keep the brush nickel cabinet knobs-or change them out to gold and decorate the island and pictures for the walls. Not too much because I like a clean look, no clutter! I will come back to post pics!

Has anyone done Gale Force on kitchen cabinets? I'm looking to do that on our large island and stain on the perimeter cabinets. Champagne gold fixtures
