Not sure you will get the amount if light that is needed from this fixture? Looks like only 3-60 watt bulbs. What is your ceiling height? Fixture is 32" high not counting 10" for chain links...table is 30" high and you need at least 32" from top of table to bottom of fixture...you need a total of 104" for this fixture to work. Do you have at least 9' ceilings? For that price I really think you could find something much better and give you beautiful lighting.

Thirteen by sixteen is a fairly generous dining room, but what is the ceiling height? I would hope not less than nine feet. The amount of light hardly matters if it's augmented by table lamps........and you're mostly buying as a "statement". I can think of better places for 4k. given the number of wonderful lights out there : ) including similar beaded chandeliers........with a bit of an
organic feel more in keeping with the table and chairs ( ( RH, clay beaded below and half the price)

OP here. I am not planning on spending that amount for a light, but more of a style question. I am looking for something that will be pretty and maybe a little unexpected but not out of place in an older home. Thank you both for your comments. I hadn't considered the wattage and it is hard to picture the scale when looking online.

So if I have captured the items you intend to use together IMO this is not a successful combination of items.

The first one the Axwell is nice but only 19" wide..to small in my opinion unless you plane on hanging two...

Just my opinion: I would no more cough up 2k for an iron orb, than I'd
remove my left arm. All kidding aside, I think alllll of these orbs are
literally approaching a time and date stamp. They are everywhere and
anywhere and someplace else too. If you love it fine, but do it at a
half or third the price........as my guess is you will take it down in
just a few years if that.

I''d either go far "outside the box" and give a colonial home a TRUE
kick in the fanny with something VERY unexpected, or twist and tweak
tradition just enough to feel fresh and young. And you can do better than plain glass globes too!! Try Circa Lighting .........

That Broxton orb light is not your run of the mill orb...classic style orb lighting has been around since the 1920 and believe me the classic's are going no where...just stay away from your average sphere lighting like from Pottery Barn...

What is your budget? It will really help us help you!
