This rooms needs everything. You need to find someone in your local area who has decorating sense to help you. I would first decide on the color palette. I can't really tell what that color is, it looks like it's pink-ish. If so, you have to paint, start there. Paint the walls a neutral color. Pick neutral colored bedding with decorative pillows and a throw. You will need a headboard and a large area rug under the foot of the bed. Then I would put a long bench at the foot of the bed.

Tons of bedding at Macy's or Bed Bath & Beyond or online. Just pick one you like. Simple panels on window. I would think about turning the bed onto the left side wall. Shop craigslist for a headboard

Move the bed to the left wall. Measure the lamp and reduce the height of the of the harp so the lamp on top of the table will come to 58-64" above the floor. Then buy white shades that cover the switch and shiny metal parts. Find a bedding set you like that has colors you would like to use when you decide to paint the walls. Hang floor to ceiling drapes in the background color of the bedding. Second hand shop for a headboard and paint it in the major color from the bedding. For a nice glam look hang two stacked art pieces over each of the tables. Put a storage bench at the foot of the bed to hold additional blankets guests may need, and add a luggage rack somewhere else, along with a mirror so they can see themselves and a chest of drawers for their folded clothing.

when furnishing a guest bedroom think of what you get in a motel and go from there. nightstands either side of the bed, a place to sit down and a place to put your luggage and toiletries. an empty drawer in a dresser and space in a closet are nice too. I also would suggest centering the bed and night tables on the wall to the left side of the picture. find a headboard or make an upholstered one with batting and material in a neutral color. get some neutral shades for the lamps. blackout drapery panels that can be closed for the windows that stack outside the moulding so you still get maximum window light when they are open. I would leave them open and let your guests close them. look for a small chair or bench to put in the corner straight in from the door. I also like keeping sheets to basic white or cream so that they don't have to change if you change the color of the bedding and room. neutral walls let you change accent colors without having to repaint every time you feel like a change. first step is to find bedding you like and pull colors from it. the only thing about these pictures I don't like it the art above the bed

Looks like there's a closet door on the left wall? Is there room on any other wall to get the bed from under the window so you can have proper headboard?

I thought that was a seam cover and a picture hook, not a closet, rocket...

We don't plan on painting right now. We tried the bed on the left wall and it looked way crowded. The room is oddly shaped. It looks best in front of window. Just trying to figure out how to make it look halfway decent.

I would keep it simple with a bedspread/coverlet, curtains and drum style lamp shades.

Aside from decorating, if the room doesn’t have enough electrical
outlets, add a power strip/surge protector so your guests can easily charge their
phones, tablets, laptops, etc.

And don’t make the room too nice, they’ll never leave!

If leaving on that wall, center under window and only use one nightstand so that can happen. Be sure to really enhance the window, so it frames the bed in a way. If you re ok with only using one table, maybe the bed/table would work on the other wall. Then you can add lovely drapes a chair in the far corner and have better access to opening/closing the window.

Yes, now I see it's a cord cover, not a door! If that's the only wall, then you really need a headboard so pillows are not stacked up leaning on the curtain or blind. I do like the full wall of curtains, make sure they can access the cords to draw them easily. Those are good inspiration photos you posted. Bed bath & Beyond has nice coordinating linen packages. Make sure there's room in the closet and hangers for your guests to put their clothes away and place their suitcases, and either a small dresser, or nightstands with empty drawers.

you really need to keep the 2 end tables. as a couple that both have glasses its nice not having to reach over the other to take them off an put them somewhere. 1 is okay if you don't have the room but you obviously do. you need a low headboard to keep pillows from falling off and interfering with curtains. a tv really isn't needed in the room. I would place a small bench in the area beside the door. choose what colors you like as a starting point. look at Houzz pictures and you'll find you gravitate towards certain colors and styles.

The issue with the paint....it just drags the room down and is so close in tone to the carpet. Maybe reconsider? It's the cheapest decorating pick me up.

You should start by moving the bed to the wall without the window. I notice the floor vent, so you should put the head of your bed on the other wall. Maybe lift the bed with lifts, that will give you a bit of height to the bed. I agree with one of the other comments. I am not sure what the color is on the walls. You need to decide the color scheme and the look that you are trying to achieve for the room. You can decorate the room with great finds from markets or your local resale shops, if you want to stay within a minimal budget. Always include accent pillows on your bed. It will give the room a very elegant feel. Use different textures of pillows. Use your color in your accent pillows, lamp shades and window treatments. So when you tire of the color it is an easy change without alot of cost. Good luck and you have a great space to work with, please post pictures when you complete your project.

I like the idea of mirrors above the nightstands. look for an interesting pair. but you could also place pictures. you already have enough browns in your furniture and tan/cream in the wall color. I like teal or whatever that color is in the bedding as the main accent color for the room but also bring in the yellow. have them in 3 different areas of the room to keep your eyes moving around the room and take in the whole picture. blackout curtains to soften and bring in color. and you need a headboard. most bed frames have mounting holes to do that without having to buy a new bed. or look for them at big box stores, thrift stores and yard sales. you won't have to spend a whole lot
