Looks like a serious overwatering situation or lack of nitrogen. Has there been a lot of rain? If now how often do you water and feed?

Agree. Could also be the result of a poor choice of planting mix. So, what are you growing them in? Also, I notice they are Bonnie plants. If I'm not mistaken, having never bought them, they are grown and sold in large peat pots. Did you remove the peat pot before planting? They don't degrade very quickly and the plants can get root bound in them even though they say you can plant them as is.

Yes they were in the peat pots but I removed them. My mix is potting soil, perlite and compost with an organic vegetable and tomato fertilizer added. The brand is Jobes. It was raining a lot last week, but it has been very sunny so I did not think it was a problem.

When I googled brown spots on pepper leaves, it said it could be leaf spot, a bacterial disease. This is my first year growing peppers and my bell peppers are very green with no spots, but they are in my raised garden bed.

It's not so much the spots that are concerning, it is the very pale yellow leaves. The plants are starving. Dry organic fertilizers don't work all that well in containers as there isn't the microorganisms to break them down in pots like there would be in actual soil. If you are committed to using an organic fert then I suggest you switch over to a liquid one that will be more readily available to the plants.

No, I'm not saying to disregard the spots completely. I'm just saying that you need to get the plants healthy first. The leaves should be green, not yellow. Once the plants get fed and healthy again they will be less susceptible to any sort of disease and should be able to easily outgrow some minor leaf damage.

I agree, get the plants healthy first. The soil looks very wet so I would let it dry out some before the next dose of a liquid fertilizer. The spots look about the norm for the conditions they went through.

All good advice here ^. Just remember that any improvement your plants make will be seen in the NEW growth. The yellow parts of the plant won't slowly start to turn green. That's what I thought would happen when I first started growing peppers ;)
