If you had a single sink, where would the faucet mount?

Is there no place for you to mount a faucet above or next to your sink, if you switch to a single sink? Of course, then you'd have to wipe the counter, so...

@acm: Thank you for commenting. The faucet would mount within the sink on a back or corner ledge or lip, similar to the one in the photo. My current undermount, composite sink has such a lip in the corner which we used for the hot water dispenser. Unfortunately, the sink is discontinued. The sink in my question is for a new build. There will be plenty of room for a faucet installed on the quartz. I just would prefer not to do that if there are options. I'm thinking there are not...

If you mount the faucet with the handle in the front instead of the side, drips go into the sink not onto the counter.

I am looking for the same item. A single bowl with a water deck like the first picture but the water deck is all the way across AND it has the back lip. The second picture that JudyG Designs posted would be ok but doesn't have the back lip to prevent/reduce the mold/crud that can build up where it meets the countertop. Does anyone know if a sink like this exists??

A wall mount faucet might solve your problem.

I’m looking at a kitchen remodel and I’m torn. I want a single bowl undermount sink, but I’m seeing some models where the faucet actually mounts into a 'deck' or 'ledge' that is part of the sink itself, rather than through the countertop.

Has anyone gone this route? Most undermounts I see have the faucet drilled directly into the granite/quartz. Does having the faucet 'inside' the sink area help with water pooling on the counters, or does it just make the sink harder to clean? Would love to hear from anyone who has installed one or has one in their kitchen!
