Well it is classed as an Solanum esculentum rather than Solanum lycopersicum like most common tomato varieties so if I recall correctly it is one of the so-called "wild" types, often quite different in flavor from what we are used to in tomatoes. Richters seems to be the only info source on it and even they don't provide much info.

There are many more commonly grown varieties that are noted for hot and humid climates. Check out Sunmaster, Solar Set, Heatmaster, Mountain Supreme as they are all determinate and good for containers. Florida 91, Better Boy, Arkansas Traveler, and Sweet Million (cherry) are also recommended but are all indeterminate.

No idea on the jungle tomato. We have grown heat and humidity tolerant determinates like Skyway, Defiant, Valley Girl and Charger and liked all of them. I think Johnny's carries the seeds. We also like Tycoon for heat set production and quality. I'm not sure who carries seeds for it these days.
