Dior grey will be beautiful. What kind of window treatment are you planning?

Patricia Hall - I haven't thought about a window treatment yet. What would you suggest?

Dior grey to add more color to the kitchen! I suggest Roman shades or blinds since you do not have a lot of room for traditional kitchen rods and curtains (just like my kitchen).

Your kitchen cabinets and tile look so nice! I think the best option for you would not be to paint that small area, but to have your tiler come back and fill the sides and above the window area with more subway tile. It will look so much more finished and consistent.

One other thing that you could consider is changing your pot light above you sink, to a small pretty pendant light.

Hey There: we agree with Kristaj - get the rest also tiled. If you paint it in any color, it will look like an arch and take away from your kitchen... For the window treatment you can use bottom up top down operating shades - they will fit snug in your casing and not covering it up...

I agree with Kristaj...tile or leave as is. Spend your money on a pretty light fixture and a window treatment that will function as you need.

Thanks for all your comments. The space between the window and cabinets is very small (about an inch). The tiler did not want to tile that small. I can't leave it as is as it is just wallboard. I have to paint it.

He could have tiled it. I've seen it done. I think it would look better all tile. Honestly, these lazy tile people I read about on here kill me.

but a darker gray would look nice. I have a similar wall over my sink. I actually painted it black. Maybe try Kendall Charcoal. nice contrast.

If any of the walls on the dinning side are connected to any of the walls around the window, it need to be painted the Dior grey even if it's separated by tile. If it's a completely different room it can be a different color.

It "needs" to? really? hmm. I missed that ruling.

Paint it whatever color you want that goes w/the surrounding area. if you don't like it, paint it a new color.

it's such a small space BM or SW has ample sample cans for about 7-8 bucks. Plenty to do that spot. Now if you have leftover Dior gray, then use that, but there's always other options. live a little and color outside of the lines!
