Honestly I am amazed at what the house looks like now - I love the wider step (had not thought about the extended roof line) and yes it does make it look more balanced! I should have said I need to paint as the current paint is failing, the house is actually a dark brown, although in the picture it looks more orangey/brown do you have a couple of colours in mind for both the doors/trim and exterior wall

Are you absolutely sure your siding is painted? Could it be stained? There are semi solid stains that will last longer than paint.

Can't see the color of your roof which will have influence on the color of siding.

No I am not sure if its painted or stained and not sure how to tell I will take a photo of my roof (which is shakes)
