Induction range with baking drawer

I have decided on a slide in induction and really want a baking drawer to use as a second oven. I love the GE Profile induction range but it only comes with a warming drawer. Kitchenaid has both induction and baking drawer however it has the aqualift steam clean feature that isn't getting good reviews. Help is appreciated!

Help for what? Talking you out of baking drawers? Or are you looking for other slide-in models with a baking drawer? If that, try the Electrolux WaveTouch slide-in.

I think I have over rated the baking drawer. I checked out the KA induction range with baking drawer. The very shallow drawer has slots in the baking drawer for ventilation. However food could spill out and onto the floor. Not good design. I want a large oven but will need a micro/covec combo. Leaning back to GE, however KA refrigerator is awesome! Would they need to match! Ugh! The electrolux induction range is unusual the way the top jets out. IMHO!

I wanted a slide in for the esthetics but I didn't like the strange appearance of the Electrolux as you mention. I ended up getting the freestanding E'lux mainly because I didn't like the cooktop layout of any of the other slide ins I looked at. I obsessed about it for quite a while and finally just had to make a decision. I figured this was a relatively low risk choice as it wasn't that expensive compared to the slide ins.

I ended up with a warming drawer that I find useful and a convection microwave. That mostly makes up for the double wall ovens I lost when I moved.

I have the Kitchenaid induction range with the baking drawer. I like it and use the baking drawer frequently. Although it is shallow, it works fine for 9x13 pans and cookie sheets. I'd rather use the small drawer for heating things up rather than the larger oven and it works great when you need to cook things at different temperatures. But realize every brand has tradeoffs. I didn't like the looks of the Electrolux and I really wanted a range with a baking drawer. The Kitchenaid also has a steam rack that I wanted. Cleaning was not high on my must-have features.

    >>>"Would they need to match?"<<<

The standing answer here is no. You have a better chance of getting the most satisfactory appliances if you focus more on function over trying to exactly match surface finishes.

Thing is, what may strike me as minor and unimportant differences in surface finishes or design may hit somebody else as being as grotesque as mixing an orange polkadotted fridge with a paisley stove. If you are gifted (or afflicted) with that degree of perspicacity, you will want to take that into account when selecting appliances.

FWIW, I do not care for the appearance and layout of the Electrolux
Wave_touch slide in, either, and I'm in agreement with 3katz's not caring for the stovetop layouts of most slide-ins. Still, there are plenty of people who like them.

One thing for birdkkk, though, is that KA stainless fridges mostly have painted grey side paneling as does the stainless version of the GE induction slide-in. So, some matching there that you might not expect.
