Rubber door boot catching things

My Duets rubber door boot is catching lots of stuff. Socks, washcloths, men's large slipper, underwear. Always something either completely hidden in there or partially stuck. Thoughts?

    Overloading?

I second that, MRB. The only time it happens in my Fuet is due to overloading, using a cycle that has high water levels, or a combo of both.

My SQ is notorious for this. It doesn't matter how large or small the load is. I just ran one of the dh's good wool dress socks on hot with White Bright and a load of towels. Just didn't see it in the boot, and can't train him to bag his socks! I bag mine, but it will still sometimes catch undies. I assumed this was standard for a FL?

No I don't think overloading. But water level could be a factor. Some of my most used cycles do use more water.

My Miele uses a TON of water....wash level and rinse levels are up on the glass!! Miele has basically no gap between the rubber boot. Some FL's have this, some don't! It is the rubber boot design, it is not relevant to load size or water level.

Thank You Larsi..I feel better. Yes I have water up over the bottom of my boot and above the bottom of the window on Allergen, heavy duty, whites, and gentle. This was the first thing that thrilled me about my Duet. LOL. Second was the heat. Haha

Mama, hang on to that machine because they don't make them to use all at water anymore.

George LARS is going no where lol.I remember when I first seen all the water..I thought I had misunderstood everything I read about low water levels in a FL..but now with all the strange functions of this Duet that is so different from other Duets and apparently even the same model I figure the laundry Gods were at work. Lol.

I know there are differences between machines, even the same models. 8 yeas ago my daughter bought the Samsung VRT set. When my Maytag Neptune bit the dust, a few months later I went out and bought the very same set as my daughter. Her machine's water level was HIGH, very high, up over the boot and up the glass a little. Mine, very little water, very little....until I took the top off and adjusted the water level.
