Happy Tomatoes and Unhappy Tomatoes

The photos tell the stories. Plant out dates can help in understanding if the signs of stress are transplant shock related.

First the Azoychka. Planted out 3/7. This plant looks like it is in chronic pain. Is that just the way it looks? I have no experience with this variety.

Right next to it, with the same plant out date is Dr. Wyche's Yellow. Looks like a very happy plant.

The Principe Borghese have look horrible since day one. They were planted out one day apart, 3/7 and 3/8.

In contrast, nearby neighbor Ananias Noire looks happy.

This Sweet Million and Gold Medal planted out on 3/20 are quite happy. Plant out peers in the raised bed look miserable. I will need to get pictures. The raised bed has less sand. I suspect the raised bed holds moisture longer and the plants in it could be suffering from too much moisture from the recent rain.

The Sungolds are showing leaf spots very similar to last year. Last year, I pulled the affected leaves and the issue went away. I will keep a close eye out for spreading and spray if necessary. Since I have four Sungold, I can see that three of them are affected, but neighbors don't seem to be.

Give them time ! Varieties can have different growth rate. Mine are similar.

Here are plants from the raised bed. Each 4x4 has two tomatoes, one pepper and one eggplant. These were hardened off well and planted out on the same day as many of those in the ground. The ones in the ground look great. I checked the moisture level of the raised bed. It is moist. I have only watered once since set out on the 20th. It did rain hard once and a light sprinkle today. Big downpours are coming. I did provide some half strength fish emulsion about one week after plant out. Assuming there is too much moisture, what can I do? Remove the mulch (except for thin newspaper to reduce splash back) to expose the media to air? Anything else? Thanks in advance. The plant in lower right in the bed is a Big Beef. I have a peer plant in the ground. The difference is staggering.
