Your first stop should be at your Veterinarian. Dogs (esp. females) can have "structural" issues that present as urinary accidents. Very small dogs (both sexes) are notorious for house training problems.

I've tried everything, including indoor/outdoor which I didn't find to be as easy to clean as I expected. My minidoxie pretty much left the Flor tiles alone but I changed my color scheme a couple years ago. I currently have a cotton rug from Sundance that he's not paid any attention to either. I've washed it on cold and it's been fine. It's definitely a casual/farmhouse vibe though.
