Oh, man. Nothing is more of a kitchen downer than a broken DW. I do hope you can get it fixed; I expect you can. A Miele DW should last longer than nine years. As a long shot, you might post your error codes on the Appliance Forum. They were able to help me a few months ago when my Bosch got a clog in the drain line. Good luck.

Hang in their bjorn. Does Miele give you service there? Hoping it's cheaper to fix than replace. My Dw is 14 now and I just did the first real repair. They should have other good models with an express wash that are less than $3800.

Just of the phone with Miele. Not great tecnikalsupport, a young girl and no real experience with the machines hands on, no help. Got redirected to parts to find out what the part would cost if it is those I think, got those prices.

Part + visit if my thinkis is correct are 300$ but if it is computer or pump those are 445$ each plus another visit. I dont know yet if I gan make Miele bring the part I think is wrong or they need to come out twice.

What I got from them is that they are not allowed to tell me whats wrong more then tell what the faultcode is ( strangely not found for my model) if something would happen to me while repairing my machine they can be blamed for my injuries, strange.

I never have neded this before and I new a guy that worked for Mieles service department but quit for some reason.

Well I am gonna book Miele to come out and check it.

Roc: I know there are other models but the one I want are a semipro like a little giant washer, 20 min for a load are fantastic, I wash almost everything by machine and when the house is full of guest I run it from early morning til late night so fastness is needed.

So sorry Björn. Our Miele Techs are usually phenomenal here. They walk you thru, step by step to try and figure out what is wrong.

My much loved Miele LaPerla II dishwasher is almost 10 years old and has never needed a single repair. One time though, (actually happened twice)... at the end of a load the machine still had a lot of water at the bottom, yucky water, and dishes were not clean. I called Miele and they spent at least 45 mins with me walking me thru checking, and it was just something stuck in some valve (they had me open up the machine a little). Fixed it over the phone, free!!

I have had Miele service to this house 3 times and my old house 1:e. Dishwasher everytime but old house my fault, 2 times here mice fault and third ball valve problem. In my old house I got it for free because they claimed it would take a week to get parts from germany over a week to get here, I coult gone back a nd forth in 24 hours. I love Miele and what the xompany stands for, Immer besser.

Back to now: booked service, a week from today, yippie, handwashing, but I most likely get it fixed before easter weeken. Now the 4:th person I have spoken to and witch I booked the service with offcourse had what the faultcode were and could tell me. This now is probobly gonna cost 200 + and I am happy to spend that to get my machine working for another year if not more.

I do know I use my machine alot and know I am on that edge were it is hard to know repair or replace, when you not firmly know whats wrong it is hard just to buy parts and do it my self.
