Asbestos advice/damage

Hi all, I am sort of a lurker here but I have always highly valued the information shared by so many here. This is an odd tale but back in 2015 I bought this house built in 1970 that had a rather dirty carpet on the first floor living room, the front room, about 225 sq ft. (2 floors, no basement). I had hired a licensed contractor who said he could install a hardwood floor floor for me and remove the carpet. The contractor and team removed the carpet and there was a rather small tile, 9x9 textured, beneath the carpet and the contractor said he would have to remove the tile to get the floor level. I was apprehensive at first but I did not think anything of it at the time because he was an experienced floor installer. I, stupidly, did not research it further, having assumed asbestos was in certain forms but would have never thought tile. They scraped it all up without a care in the world and I was upstairs working from home the majority of the time, on occasion coming down to see how the progress was going, etc. I can't recall if there was a lot of dust I certainly don't think it was immaculate and I know I saw tile being broken into rather small pieces by the floor scraper (all manual no tools). Cut to two years in the future and I have now come to realize that it was very very possible that the tile removed from the house was VAT. I am having the tile tested as it still remains in the back end of the old storage/utility closet, I am also having the air tested to see if there still remains any trace. I guess at this point what I want to ask is, do people think its still relatively safe to use the house? If it is asbestos, I am quite sure I have been exposed, I just do not know to what extent or how much of it remains in the house. My kitchen is right off the living room through a corridor and could the dust have gotten into in my appliances, etc.? On the internet you read obviously both ends of the spectrum, I am going to die in 15-30 years or on the other hand VAT is not very friable and using hand tools most likely did not release a large amount of asbestos and since the room is in the front of the house has had quite a long time to disperse into the outside. Would like to hear your thoughts. As far as an abatement team, is that still even on the table? The specialist that I called to take the samples felt that given the lengthy time frame the levels would be very low, if at all. An abatement project he said would most likely not result in any improvement in levels unless the air sample proves otherwise (which he felt, would support his opinion about the levels in the home).
