The ceiling is constructed of wood - its reclaimed birch. We stained it with a natural finish to express the grain. The floor, the walls and the ceilings are all the same material, milled in different widths and profiles to obtain the texture and scale we desired.

Thanks for reaching out - we used a natural satin stain on this birch. The natural finish allows the character of the wood to shine and brings out the depth and grain of the birch that Hikeguru had asked about.
