@nuthinontv we just waterproofed the house, landscaping will be done soon, and I have big colorful pots for the sides of the steps. I was hoping I could paint the recessed panels the same as the siding and do a complimentary color on the raised panels - or something like that.

Paint the front door. And paint the ceiling of the porch a soft blue.

What color is the siding? I think you could paint the porch. You need to take into consideration the roof color and the brick as well as your siding color. If I were making a big color change inside I would paint a large sample. So for the outside I would do the same thing. What colors are you thing of?

Gently power wash the brick, cement, and steps. Hire someone if u have never used a power washer. Your downspouts in the middle of the brick columns are a distraction. Is there any way to redirect them somehow so they go behind the brick? If not, paint them to blend in w the brick. It looks like you are locked in to the pale yellow and white trim...which I think is pretty. Perhaps a bright color front door would work. Pale blue or green maybe. Be sure to paint only the door and leave the sidelights white. Maybe some attractive top mounted lighting from the soffit placed to the left and right of the door. We are definitely moving the down-spouts or getting brown ones to match the brick, so distracting!

Downspouts can be easily painted.
