What a clever idea. It's just perfect for that. Explain the little flowers at the junctions. Embroidered? Quilted through? Colors worked out well.

The little flowers are my attempts at free motion ...needed a touch more quilting to keep it together!

Very pretty quilt. So fresh looking. Personally, I can't see why anyone would want to IMHO "ruin" a quilt by having people autograph it. I guess others feel it's a great idea. Different strokes.

I agree, it's a shame that lovely quilt will be marked up with autographs. Perhaps a panel on the back would have been a better idea :-)

I recently saw an 80 year old autograph quilt that had been made by ladies of an Indiana church as a fund raiser. It was returned to the church and the members poured over with much excitement looking for and finding the names of relatives and friends.

I should add that the names were embroidered after signing. A lot of love went into it.

Yes, the bride to be like the quilt...thank heavens. She was a tad overwhelmed at the shower, but my sense was she like it ....all the showered guest like it.

Yes, the autographs go on the front, I made sure there was enough white space for everyone to sign.

Maybe it's me, but I find it challenging to make a quilt for another. I'm happy to make one and if someone I know likes it and wants it...that's great-I'm thrilled, but when it comes to a specific gift for another....I get myself stressed for no reason....I know, I know...ridiculous!
