I would move it just around the corner,,,,, or cut off the corner and put it at a diagonal.

I suppose you could eliminate the door to the rear hallway and just have the door to the laundry. Then as you come around the corner from great room have a door on the right that opens into the right wall of the bedroom.
I think that prevents the opening of the bedroom from the great room, it takes away from the idea of an "entrance" to the master bedroom.
Are you able to have it professionally redrawn this way and see how it works? You can copy the plan on the sheer tracing paper that architects use and try that.
Post a photo of that of you can. I see your point of doing this differently.

sunny, I am on the fence about moving it, its probably ok where it is, I was thinking noise bleed and such from the greatroom/bedroom. I get having to look at laundry everytime you enter or exit mb is probably undesirable. The noise bleed and privacy would be the reason I would want to move it.

My other comment would be based on if this house is not built yet. I would ask to have the one bedroom wall, facing great room, filled with special noise reducing insulation and that would help immensely. Maybe even the wall that is backed up to laundry room hall too. Also maybe a solid door there too.
My last house had the master bedroom wall shared with kitchen and I could hear the cupboards open and close and dishes being moved, so I understand your concern.

HI -- Turn the laundry pair to backed to the left wall and behind folding doors . Have some nice double doors leading into the master from that small back hallway. The Architect sure liked putting things angled into corners on this plan . I would not have the kitchen sink angled into the corner and I would definitely not have the fireplace angled into a corner either . There is enough room on this plan to have those items placed properly and straight .
