Paint names are near usless when it come's to web discussions,,,,,,unless people are willing to go to paint store for color chips. I will tell you this,painting cabinets presently covered in clear can turn into a peeling disaster in a few months if done incorrect.. Be certain A.what is on there now B. it is clean before refinishing C. to use correct prep,sanding and priming

Klem...I got the painting thing covered ...my sense is that many on this forum are very familiar with the colors I mentioned.

I've been eyeing chelsea gray for a long time. I may use it when I repaint my 90s oak cabinets (they are currently CM's cumulus cloud). I had to Google deep space but it's bold and beautiful too.

If you're considering Chelsea or deep space then I think you'll be bored with Edgecomb. It is a pretty choice too though.

Cabinet coat is an excellent product. I used it over 5 years ago and my cabinets have held up great.

I just painted my built ins Galveston Gray (very close to Chelsea gray) and the color is awesome. My kitchen is visible (open floor plan) and it is white dove cabinets. I am using Revere Pewter on walls. What's your floor color...? You could do Chelsea on island and white dove perimeter cabs...? Looks great and doesn't over commit you to the darker gray!

Oh and I just did laundry room cabs in storm cloud which is on swatch with outer space I think!!

Sorry - been working on the rest of the house :-) Got the wall cut down, walls painted, cabinets reapportioned from the cut down wall to a "bar area" towards the back windows, new cabinets to surround the refrigerator (and to allow refrigerator to be moved to the left so the right door can be opened), countertops installed (white quartz with a speckled gray and taupe) ... photos show current look ... walls are BM {Pale Oak), floors a mottled gray/cream/white ...remainder or where I was standing is vaulted ceiling "great" room all in Pale Oak ...

As we got more and more done, and then finally with countertops, we think we definitely need some pop on something ... will be doing backsplash tile to compliment whatever color cabinets ... in addition to photos of our mess, I'm attaching stock shots of someone else's kitchens (lt and darker gray cabs) for comparison ...

georgestephenson - you have a lovely space to work with and I love your inspiration photos (I actually have some of those saved on Pinterest too). Anyway, the lighter colors are pretty but keep in mind they will likely clash with your current floor color. Your inspirational pics show the lighter cabs against wood/darker floors which looks good.

If you're keeping your current lighter floors then I would do a darker option because the cabinets will "pop" from the floors. I'm also someone who likes contrast.
