Have you considered a trellis at your entry? That can be integrated into some very cheerful landscaping. Good luck with your project!

Gold Splash Wintercreeper bushes. They are hardy and easy to find at the stores.

The color of the yellow tips on the green leaves would look good against your brick.

and between that and the garage on that tall wall space , I would put a crate myrtle.

So I would stain the planter area white. I would do the slatted bench on one side full depth then add plantings on the other side. Consider what it will look like in winter. There are lots of evergreens that are brighter in color which they retain in winter besides the typical dark green. Suggest your local nursery draw up a plan and you implement.

In your planter, if you have plenty of sunlight, gorgeous ornamental grasses would add height, color, and delicacy to your façade.

On the right, an extended carved dark red mulched bed on the right of the house would soften the lines of the house.

Other things to consider:

--painting your front door: yellow or teal and painting your trim and garage door the same as your grout color.
