Hi! I'm thinking about taking an interior decorating class or two at a local community college, and possibly doing the entire certificate program. Is this going to help me, or will it give me just enough knowledge to be dangerous? What is the difference between a decorator and a designer? How do most pros get their education?

Finally, if anyone has recommendations on learning places in the Boston area (or North of Boston), please let me know where to go. I have to keep costs down as I have 3 kids in college now....

My goal is to make over my own home.
