A few roses and other things

Lots of buds but still few blooms, which is probably a good thing as the rains continue well into spring. I visited the Oakland municipal rose garden to check the progress there, also 2-3 weeks away from full glory.

Moondance

Same bloom from a few days ago on Intrigue with some rain damage

Tropicana

Gold Medal surrounded by many buds

Going to be a lot of pomegranates this year

Pineapple guava (feijoa) too

Chives blooming in the herb garden

Wisteria blooming, they didn't last year

The front garden really benefited from the frequent rains

And lastly, one of the many East Bay wild turkeys chilling in the Oakland Rose Garden

Thank you for these pictures. I think 2 of them match a friend's inherited, unmarked roses.

I've never been to Oakland's rose garden. Shall check it out online.

I love the Tom!! Gobble Gobble - it would be so cool to have wild turkeys here. :)

Tropicana has a wonderful color to it!! Viva the screaming colors!!

Great pics Matthew! You have to show us the full cluster blooming on that GOLD MEDAL. That's gonna be beautiful! Love the turkey! We have wild turkeys down near the creek below our circular road. They come up and eat my neighbor's bird seed that she puts out for the wild birds. She's always having to chase them out of her yard! I think it's pretty funny...
