Easter Sunday Sermon excerpt

Isaiah 53:2-For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

I hope it is okay to post this. But I thought this painted such a picture that was very relatable.

Love Isaiah! Thank you for sharing!
Yesterday was lovely. We actually had my sisters and their families over and had a little service in my living room. My brother-in-law is a pastor, so he led us in an interactive little sermon with some praise and worship led by my sis who used to be an opera singer. It was wonderful. A very different Easter but awesome! Then my parents came for a huge lunch and homemade peach cobbler. So thankful for my family. Most thankful that HE has RISEN! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter celebration.

I agree with Hazel, thanks for sharing. That verse does paint a picture that is very relatable.

It looks like your little Sweetheart had a fun Easter. Love the photo, Alexis, and your family Easter gathering sounds like it was very special.

The imagery throughout Isaiah is absolutely stunning. I think it is the most skillfully written book in the Old Testament, maybe the entire Bible.

Isaiah is a DEEP book. Beautiful. My present mission is to memorize Matthew, and then John--like THAT is going to happen. But the words are my words to live by.
