I replied in the other thread but posting here as well.

I stock urea, polymer coated urea, ammonium sulfate, potassium sulfate, ferrous sulfate and triple super phosphate in bulk and mix as needed for maximum cost savings. It also gives me flexibility - I can move to a 90% slow release program as summer closes in, or increase potassium since I'm low.

If you're looking for off the shelf fertilizers, I like Lesco 24-0-11 found at HD. It's 50% slow release and has 3% iron for greening.

Do you know if urea is available at the big box stores?

I'm replying to your last question here so we don't further pollute the other thread. You won't find urea at big box stores, you'd have to check with an agricultural supply store or at SiteOne. If you can't get ahold of urea, a fertilizer high in water soluble N like Scotts Winterguard would be an acceptable substitute.
