Arm & Hammer Clean Burst Powder detergent

While I have been using mostly pods and liquids (although Grab Green pods are powder), I really did not have any "plain" powder detergent.

Tide he powder gags me, Tide with Bleach he powder works amazingly well, but the scent is now awful. Gain he powder smells great, but cleaning is avg. at best. Also, P&G powders are insanely sudsy (crazy, since P&G liquids used to be suds-o-rama and powders were good).

I found a HUGE box of Arm & Hammer (he and top load) Clean Burst powder today on sale for $4.67. It smells so, so clean, fresh and like old fashioned soap. I washed a large load of workout wear, 105F and used about 1.5 TBS. Little sudsing (they collapsed rather quickly) and rinses were good.

I know I will not use this for our daily clothes, but it might be nice for sheets or towels (as long as it does not end up leaving cottons scratchy). LOVE the scent!! Clean!!!

Very nice score Larsi. I really like the way A&H powders smell. So how is the cleaning compared to Tide and Gain?

Larsi, the A&H scents are awesome..but as for the powder..do you notice how heavy the powder is..which means it has more than its fair share of sodium carbonate. More than likely unless you add some extra rinses you may have carbonate residue= dry rough. you had the A&H powder with Oxi a few years ago and think you had rough clothes from it. But boy does it smell good.

Greeny....Cleaning was great, although the large load of workout wear had no stains, just drenched in sweat :) Everything smelled clean and fresh, and I think you could use this powder....after 3 rinses, almost no scent left! Only real scent was clean!!

MamaP...you are right, the box is HEAVY!! When I picked up a box of Fab powder, the box felt like it was filled with down feathers, but this A&H powder feels like bricks!! Yes, I remember a while back the A&H powder left things scratchy (but not as bad as with Sears powder).

I did buy it because it was on sale for $4.67, LOL, and the scent was kind of amazing! I'm hoping infrequent use and employing 3 rinses each time I use it, will be ok.

I just bought some Clean Burst A&H yesterday. On our most recent visit to my parents', my daughter talked about how wonderful their towels smell. They use A&H. However, mine still won't smell like theirs since they use Purex Lavender fabric conditioner, which I haven't seen where we live.

Vet...as for the Purex FS...check some smaller independent grocery stores. Seems no one around me sells it except these type of grocerys. I love the scent of A&H.

I just purchased A&H Clean Burst powder. I'm currently using Roma Powder for my towels and A&H Clean and Simple liquid for my clothes. I'm really excited to try the A&H powder! First gotta finish the Roma though.

The A&H oxi powder is a finer powder than Gain and it dissolves quickly and the rinse water looks cleaner, imo.
