That is the very reason why I did not plant them at my new place. I love lilies that I could not find them anymore. Good luck, my friend!

I killed quite a few last year so I'm hoping to have fewer beetles. Luckily, they didn't destroy the lilies and I was able to pick off the unsightly leaves. They're just too beautiful to give up on.

My tiger lilies were decimated some years ago. I won't use pesticides so I gave up on them. Then, a couple years ago, they re-emerged, thanks to the release of parasitic wasps in neighboring states. Don't give up on your lilies, the antidote to the evil red beetles is on the wing!

Neem oil really works!

I have lilies a couple of feet high now, and no lily leaf beetles! For the last few years I've only seen a few beetles each year, if any, (and I quickly kill them if I see them). I don't spray until I see them and then I only spray the beetle itself with something like permethrin or Bayer's Advanced - whatever is closest. It's probably due to the parasitic wasps.
